Many Congratulation to John H Stracey - MBE

So in the recent Platinum Jubliee Honours list, John was awarded the MBE for his services to boxing and all his charity work that he does.

This tops off a wide range of awards won throughout his career. A stellar amateur career where is represented team GB at the 1968 Olympics, he won National ABA School titles, Junior ABA crown, NABC Championship and followed up with the ABA senior title.

In his professional career he won the British, European and the WBC world welterweight title. His win against Jose Napoles is always mentioned as one of the greatest wins by a British boxer.
